The SBI says it expects small businesses to create 90% of all jobs in South Africa by 2030.
On Monday, the Minerals Council South Africa warned that more than 90 000 mining employees would lose their jobs in the next three years due to the tariff hikes given to Eskom.
Eskom has 48 000 employees – 66% more than it needs, according to a World Bank study.
The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Bernard Swanepoel, executive director at the SBI.
