BPL, SBI SME Indaba: “Outlook for SA’s SMEs in the next five years”

SBI held a successful Indaba in cooperation with Business Partners Limited. The line up included: Prof William Gumede, Associate Professor, School of Governance at the University of Witwatersrand (first key note); presentation of the SME Confidence Index (David Morobe, Executive General Manager for Impact Investing, Business Partners Ltd); a “Best practice of SME financing models” Panel (Jeremy Lang, Chief Investment Officer at Business Partners; Saki Zamxaka, CEO of Gauteng Enterprise Propeller; and Eldene Govender, Fund Manager of the iMbewu Fund at the National Empowerment Fund SOC.)

The second keynote address was anchored by Bheki Nxumalo, the GE: Eskom Generation and presumptive CEO of Eskom Generation SOC. This is the most complex subsidiary in Eskom’s end-state.

Nyangani Tshabalala treated delegates with his his moving story of grit, passion and resilience as a young entrepreneur who founded IFASCO despite all odds.
